Suggestions for Using this Booklet

This booklet is very straightforward and works best for troops that conduct Cookie Booths.

Page 1

There are three pages labeled 1. This allows for both a version for Little Brownie Bakers and ABC Baker cookie names/types. There is also a "generic" version.

Page 2

If you're able or if you have leftovers, have a tasting of all the different cookies. Then have the girls talk and write about their favorite cookie. Make sure they add WHY it's their favorite.

Page 3

Cookie Booths are a great way to increase overall Troop sales. Talk about booths you've had in the past, or discuss what a Cookie Booth sales even is if it's a new concept.

On this page, lead the girls through the picture. Have them talk about what each girl is doing to help serve customers and increase sales.

Page 4

Now we want to girls to get into the selling spirit. How would they try to sell their favorite Girl Scout cookie to a customer. Have them create a sign that they would hold at their Cookie Booth.

Page 6

Instill the idea that we use our cookie money to help others as well as do fun things. Talk about what you've done in the past if applicable. Brainstorm some ideas and have the girls write down what they want to do. Then share with the troop.

Page 8

As Brownies they should be able to make some simple change. This worksheet has some examples of orders. Play around with fake money to roleplay these scenarios if you have it available.

Page 9

Role play selling cookies with your paper order form. Have one group of girls be customers, the others be Girl Scouts. Have them rotate through the group and take orders. Then switch roles.

Page 10

For this exercise you'll need to know how much each variety of cookie costs. Have the girls then calculate how much the customer owes for the number of boxes shown.
